 (1) There  are  several  new  words must be mastered  by  the students

  fat , thin, short, tall  ------ three skills .

(2) There is a new sentence pattern  must  be  mastered  by  the students

Look at that giraffe .  It’s tall .----- three skills .

(3) Help the students to understand the meanings of the words  and  the  sentences .

(4)  Help the Ss to use them in real situations .

Teaching aids : Many pictures .

Teaching steps :

Ⅰ Warm up and revision

1)      Greeting

2)      Free talk :Ⅳ

T : Hello !

 Ss :Hello !

T : good morning !

Ss : good morning !

T : How  are you ?

Ss:....

T:Where are you from?

Ss: I’m From ....

T : Who’s this boy ?

Ss : ....

T : Is she your sister ?

Ss:....

Ss:Look at the giraffe .It’s tall .

So,this time,let’s sing the song that we created ”Look at the giraffe”

ook at the giraffe .It’s tall . It’s tall

ook at the monkey .It’s short . It’s short

ook at the elephant .It’s big .

ook at the pig .It’s fat

This  song can help the students to remember the new words and recycle the old sentences pattern

Ⅱ Presentation

1)      The teacher shows the pictures to the Ss and say : Look at the

giraffe . It’s tall .

2The teacher writes down the words : fat thin short tall  on the Bb

3) The teacher translates the words for the students

4) The teacher reads and the Ss follow

5)  Practise  in pairs

6) The Ss reads the words together

7The teacher put the words into the sentence patter

Look at the giraffe /monkey/dog/cat/…. .It’s tall/ fat/short/thin.

Ⅲ  Drill
